I kicked my wife out of the house and shielded my daughter from her after discovering where she was taking the girl.
My wife and I have been together for six years. She has an eight-year-old daughter who was just two when we met. Her father disappeared a few months before she was born, then suddenly turned up on our doorstep in December while I was at work. When my daughter saw her father for the first time, he barely showed any interest in her.
Two weeks passed, and out of the blue, my wife tells me theyve agreed on shared custody. She refused to tell me where the man lived or even give me his number.
My wife always drives our daughter to and from school and her after-school clubs.
But at the start of January, I noticed my daughter became reluctant to visit her father. She said his place was awful, filthy, and she couldnt sleep there. She told meright in front of her motherthat she never wanted to go back. Then, last Friday
My wife finished work at 8 p.m. and was supposed to pick our daughter up straight after. By 9 p.m., they still werent home, and she wasnt answering her phone. I called her sisters, her motherno one knew where she was. I even went to her workplace, but no one was there.

Her phone had died at work. Shed driven to her exs place but thought no one was home. Since she couldnt call him, she waited. They showed up just after 9 p.m. with takeaway food. The father claimed theyd walked to the shop and grabbed dinner on the way back. My wife went inside and let them finish eating. Then she said she dozed off on the sofa, woke at 1:45 a.m., and rushed home. She blamed exhaustion, saying shed had a tough day.
Finally, she gave me his address and asked me to drop our daughter off the next day. When we got there, it turned out to be a rundown shack on the side of the road in a rough part of town! The place was crawling with cockroaches, beer bottles everywhere. The man sat there in his underwear, staring blankly at the wall. I took my daughter straight home.
Tonight, I found out my wife had been giving him money and topping up his phone using our family budget. Are they back together? At this point, Im convinced theyve been sleeping together.
Last night, I told her to leave but insisted our daughter stay with methis is the only safe place for her. I wont send her back to that dump! My mother-in-law fully supports her living with me, and legally, Im listed as her guardian.
